Acrylic paint, charcoal, conte, rope, on raw canvas.

The artwork aims to represent memory, spirituality, and the cultural significance of masks from Benue State, Nigeria. Ehiko is restoring stolen masks and those appropriated by colonizers and famous painters like Picasso & Nolde. Using an expressive style and both traditional and non-traditional mediums, Ehiko creates compositions with loose and rigid brushstrokes. The intention is to create a compelling visual experience that encourages viewers to move between canvases.
